📦 Orders & Payments

1. How do I place an order?

Simply browse our website, select the product you want, choose your preferred option (color, storage, condition), and click “Add to Cart”. When you’re ready, click the cart icon and proceed to checkout. Follow the prompts to enter your details and complete payment.

2. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • PayFast (instant EFT, credit card, and more)
  • Mobicred (buy now, pay monthly)
  • Bank Transfer (manual EFT)

All payments are processed through secure, PCI-compliant gateways. We do not store your full card details.

3. Can I cancel or change my order?

  • Within 1 hour of placing your order: Cancellations are free. Please contact us immediately.
  • After 1 hour: Your order may already be processed. Cancellations are subject to our Returns Policy.

To change your order, email info@fonedeals.co.za with your order number as soon as possible.

4. Is it safe to shop on FoneDeals?

Absolutely. Our website uses SSL encryption to protect your data. We never store your full payment details, and all transactions are processed through trusted South African payment gateways (PayFast, Mobicred).

5. Do you offer Mobicred financing?

Yes! You can select Mobicred at checkout. If approved, you can pay for your purchase in monthly installments. Please note that Mobicred approval is subject to the provider’s terms and conditions.

6. Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, a tax invoice (VAT receipt) is included in your order confirmation email. If you need a duplicate, email us with your order number.


🚚 Shipping & Delivery

7. How long does delivery take?

  • Major cities (CT, JHB, DBN, PTA, PE): 1–3 business days
  • Regional towns: 3–5 business days
  • Remote/rural areas: 5–7 business days

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.

8. How much does shipping cost?

  • Free shipping on orders over R500
  • R99 flat rate for orders under R500

9. Do you deliver to my area?

We deliver anywhere in South Africa, including all nine provinces. We also deliver to remote and rural areas, though delivery times may be slightly longer.

10. Can I track my order?

Yes! Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive:

  • shipping confirmation email with your tracking number
  • An SMS notification with tracking details

You can track your parcel on the courier’s website (The Courier Guy or Aramex).

11. What if I’m not home when delivery arrives?

Our couriers will attempt delivery up to 3 times. If all attempts fail, the parcel will be returned to us. We’ll contact you to arrange re-delivery, which may incur a R99 re-delivery fee.

12. Can I collect my order?

Currently, we offer delivery only. We do not have a physical retail store open for collections. All orders are shipped via courier to your preferred address.


🔄 Returns & Warranty

13. What is your return policy?

We offer:

  • 7-day change of mind returns (unused, original packaging, 10% restocking fee)
  • 7-day Dead on Arrival (DOA) protection (free replacement or refund)
  • 12-month warranty on new devices
  • 6–12 month warranty on refurbished devices (depending on grade)

14. How do I return a faulty item?

  1. Email info@fonedeals.co.za with your order number and a description of the fault
  2. Include photos or videos if possible
  3. We’ll approve the return and arrange a free courier collection
  4. Once inspected, we’ll process a replacement or refund

15. Does the warranty cover accidental damage?

No. The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover:

  • Cracked screens
  • Water damage
  • Drops or physical impact
  • Unauthorised repairs

16. What if my phone has a software issue?

Many software issues can be resolved with a factory reset. If the problem persists after a reset, please contact us and we’ll assist.


📱 Product Information

17. Are your phones new or refurbished?

We sell both:

  • New devices: Sealed, brand new, with full manufacturer warranty
  • Refurbished devices: Grade A tested, in excellent condition, with a 12-month warranty (6 months for “Good” grade)

All refurbished devices are clearly marked and tested to meet our quality standards.

18. What does “refurbished” mean?

Refurbished devices are pre-owned phones that have been:

  • Professionally inspected and tested
  • Cleaned and sanitized
  • Repaired if necessary
  • Graded based on cosmetic condition (Premium, Very Good, Good)

They offer excellent value at a fraction of the original price.

19. Are refurbished phones unlocked?

Yes, all our refurbished phones are unlocked and work with any South African network (Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Telkom, Rain).

20. Do you sell accessories?

Yes! We offer a range of accessories including:

  • Protective cases
  • Screen protectors
  • Chargers and cables
  • Wireless earbuds and headphones

🔐 Account & Security

21. Do I need an account to place an order?

No, you can checkout as a guest. However, creating an account allows you to:

  • Track your orders easily
  • Save your address for faster checkout
  • View your order history
  • Manage returns and warranties

22. How do I reset my password?

Click “Forgot Password” on the login page. You’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder.

23. Is my personal information safe?

Yes. We comply with South Africa’s POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act). Your data is used only to process your orders and provide customer support. We never sell your information to third parties.

💳 Payment & Billing

24. When will my payment be taken?

  • Card / PayFast: Payment is taken immediately at checkout.
  • Manual EFT: Please make payment within 48 hours. Orders with unpaid invoices will be cancelled after this period.

25. How do I pay with manual EFT?

Select “Bank Transfer” at checkout. You’ll receive our banking details via email. Use your order number as the reference so we can match the payment to your order.

26. Do you offer layby?

We currently do not offer layby. However, we do offer Mobicred for monthly payment options.
